Who needs to have lab work done? Most individuals that have been under stress for long periods of time or had reoccurring health problems over the years, should have lab work. Lab work is helpful for patients who want to take a preventative approach to their health by revealing what areas are needing to be addressed.
What are some basic lab tests to start with? A good place to start is with the two following tests: 1) Blood Chemistry Profile a) This profile provides a comprehensive assessment of the body's blood chemistry to determine if there are any acute or chronic conditions and to rule out any pathologies. 2) Adrenal Stress Profile a) This profile is an effective screen for the adrenals to see how well they are adapting the stress in your life. It measures your levels of cortisol and DHEA.
The following are some examples of tests that are available through Dr. Jeffrey's clinic: Food Allergy GI Pathogen Screen (Parasites) Pre-Menopause Hormone Panel Post Menopause Hormone Panel Cholesterol Panel Thyroid Panel PSA IGF-1 Blood Type Gliadin (gluten protein) Antibodies
